Unfortunately I had to remove the built-in screen protector that came stock with the Note 10+ phone. Some air bubbles from the left side of the screen starting appearing which bothered the snot out of me. I tried a couple low price screen protectors from Amazon that claim to be compatible with the Note 10+ but found them to be horrible and immediately removed them. So for the past few weeks, my phone screen has been naked without a screen protector. The only thing I have on is a silicone phone protector. To my pleasant surprise, I have noticed that the screen fingerprint reader now works between 50 to 75 percent of the time without the built-in screen protector. Previously, it only worked a very small portion of the time no matter what I tried with the built-in screen protector. It's still not perfect, even with a naked screen. If my fingers are wet, the reader doesn't work well. The reason I find it currently useful to use the fingerprint reader (versus face recognition that I've been using), is that during this current virus situation requiring wearing a mask outside for safety, I don't want to pull down my mask simply for my phone to recognize my face. Hence having a functional fingerprint reader along with face recognition has been very useful for my needs. I have decided to continue rocking a naked screen for now.

Mine opens 95 percent of the time with the protector on. As far as wet fingers it works better than traditional FPS.

My previous old Samsung S9 phone with the rear finger print reader worked nearly 100 percent of the time. Truly the best and most reliable finger print reader I've ever used from my own experience. I wish the Note phone has the same rear finger print scanner as the Samsung S9 phone.

Without question capacitive FPS is more forgiving but damp fingers were always a no go.

I have the original screen protector and I have 95% success. If it doesn't work it repeatedly doesn't so I just rub my fingers together and then all is good. Just a whorl expansion/contraction issue.
I also have my prints recorded at multiple angles.

I agree fully if I lick my finger my fps is fast andworks 99.5% of time. Unfortunately with COVID-19 I don't want to do this in most situations. I just deleted my stored fingerprints and re did them. I store two for my left thumb and two for my right index finger. Now my FPS works great without moisturizing my fingers. I would say about 90%+ success.

If FPS doesn't work, sometimes, how do you get your phone unlocked?

And how hard was it to take samsung screen ptotector off?

Create a swipe pattern, always have a pin backup too. The factory protective screen peels off the same as any other. I wish I had left mine on. Not having good luck with any other screen protectors so far.

    Thanks.
Mine has couple small scratches, but not bad.

Doesn't Samsung sell the same screen protector that came on it?

Guess I hadn't thought to have pin with fps.
I've never tried using mine. :-)
