I saw this and from first hand they are both wicked good ...I applaud the Note for finally stepping it up and some ...no hiccups ...peeps should be happy with Note series ...

to me, the 10+ is the very worthy successor to the Note 7 which was just about perfect. the 7 is the last one that wowed me as much as the +

Yeah, the 7 was pretty good, especially the fireworks. Until that, I was ready to buy one. I'm glad - I like my hip where it is.

I would have kept mine if allowed and I know many did. I had zero issues with mine - no heat, nothing. worked flawlessly.

did some have issues, yes, absolutely, but that doesn't mean all of them did. and some still post that they have theirs still. I'm okay now that I have the 10+, but I hated my Note 8 because it was just thrown out to us to give us something to placate us in the aftermath. it did not placate me at all.

I was wondering why suddenly Rene Ritchie was tweeting about speed tests are useless. I'm like why are you tweeting this now out of the blue and now I have some context on what made him tweet this

Great comparison, if all you ever do is swap back and forth between apps. Lol
It's one way how they can determine how a phone does from opening apps and going back to where you left off. Whats amazing is apple devices always had better chip and optimized software , where the Samsung devices had a skin on Adriod and not as polished OS compared to iOS ....it's getting closer now with better chips from SD and ram.

Classic. Suddenly trying to discredit something once you don’t always win in the test.

That said, I’m not too sure whether the video is clickbait or a valid test.

Haha... I know one thing I don't need a video to tell me what I'm experiencing... This phone is running through multi tasking like a champ...

This video is just stressing the storage. The note beats the iPhone bc of the UFS storage. I’m pretty sure the iPhone is not as fast storage wise now or on par. I think Apple got a massive storage performance boost around iPhone 5-6 which put iPhone ahead until the note 10.

No doubt. I believed (still do) that my Note9 was a flawless performer yet the Note10 Plus is an unquantifiable improvement all the way around. Through thirty-eight of using the Note10 Plus it continues to impress me and I know there's so much untapped potential to be discovered.

Not exactly but I’ve seen NVMe quoted. This test is for the 8 and X iPhones. They get about 1200 MB for read and 150-500MB for the write. Write seems to vary and huge amount across storage sizes.

Looks like the XS Max get about 1700 MBs.

UFS 3.0 provides 2100MBs read and 410MBs writes. I’m guessing based off the improvements Apple make between these phones that the iPhone Mac Pro in 256GB or higher and about on par.

UFS 3.0 Max is about 2900MBs per lane and there is only 2 lanes.

For reference UFS 2.1 is 850/260 and UFS 2.0 is 350/150

UFS 2.1 is on the snapdragon 835 and 845 but curiously I think think the Galaxy s10 series of phones has UFS 3.0 even thought the SD855 supports it. I’ve heard only the Note 10 and plus has it on Samsung side.

I believe the S10 series didn't get the UFS 3.0
Started with Note 10+
