Any idea when the 5G version of the Samsung Note 10+ will be released?

Not on Verizon, not on AT&T and not on Sprint but specifically on T-Mobile for their network. I actually could use the low-band 5G that T-Mobile will be introducing with the Samsung Note 10 +5G. Feel free to use this post to start the thread.

I'm in the UK and most of the networks here have released it.

Personally I buy mine direct from Samsung.

Could you do that and then take advantage of any available 5G connection and speeds ?

As long as 5G is included in your phone plan it should be fine, I'm in Ireland and had to switch to a different type plan but price and everything was the same anyway (I did somehow get Sky sports mobile for free for 6 months) but my upgrade status is still intact

For those not in the US that have 5G, is it fairly non-proprietary? From what I understand there isn't a set standard yet for 5G and telecoms are rolling out proprietary (at least here in the US) networks. For example, my Verizon Note 10+ 5G wouldn't work on AT&T's 5G if I were to switch to AT&T.

I don't have the 5G service turned on because we don't have 5G here in Hawai'i yet. The only reason I got Verizon's 5G version was because it actually cost me a couple dollars less per month for the phone.

I'm not sure that it would connect to 5G in Europe, though I know it will connect 4G LTE anywhere.

I just want it badly on At&t since they have a minuscule of 5g in Raleigh NC and hopefully expand here much faster!!! Either the s10 5g which supposedly has high band and low band support or the note 10 which supposedly has only low band support which really sucks. But I’m hearing it’ll be released by the end of this month.

It's not that it's proprietary due to the carrier. The Verizon version uses an existing 5g modem that works with their 5g bands. The other carriers require the modem that is yet to be released on the Note 10+ to work with their 5g bands.

Because in the US they only have the Verizon version for the 5G model even direct from Samsung and they don't have the unlocked non carrier version like they have for the Note 10 and 10+.

    Ah, bummer.
Couldn't cope with being tied to one carrier.
Exactly why I didn't buy the S10 5G whilst waiting on the Note being released, only avaliable locked to 2 carriers here. Was like going back in time.

Could you not just buy a European unlocked version?
I know the US Snapdragon version is supposed to be slightly better in the graphics department but it seems negligible to me

That would be dependent on the supported 5G bands.

Does it work with OTHER bands? Is it 5G NR compliant? If Verizon's 5G phones are not 5G NR compliant, then it is proprietary. That is what I think post people are concerned with.

Among my learned friends, those more in-the-know than me, the consensus is that the 5G implementation is going much slower than the 3G to 4G transition. Almost to a person (out of four with whom I regularly speak) they are going with the in-home version of 5G as soon as they can get it. Right now I'm glad that I didn't overly contort myself trying to get a 5G Note10 Plus in my preferred color (Aura Glow, it is a conversation starter as it catches the light) and storage configuration.
