So I am admittedly I am a NOTE fan to my core. With that said I am looking for a New truck namely a 2020 Ford Explorer ST. The truck is magnificently set up all around with 2 exceptions that may have be a deal breaker.
1. the vertical phone holder is barely wide enough to hold my N10+ with a thin case such as the Caseology Skyfall... Which is a very thin case...
2. The horizontal wireless charger is to short / small... The N10+ is too long and will not fit!
While this may seem trivial to some it has turned out to be a Deal breaker for me... The pic (wireless charger) Below is a stock photo

Yep that's my dilemma....

If you are going in on a new truck, you can get a few customizations done to properly fit that phone.

Simple fix. Use a grinder to shave some of the length off the top and bottom of the Note. Use a polishing wheel when finished to dress it up.

Get Adonit Wireless Car Charger. Its automatic and fits a N10+ with an Otterbox Defender. Btw that's a darn nice car.

You're American, can you not just pull out your gun and keep shooting it until it is big enough for the phone :)

It's not trivial at all. Follow your gut and pass on the vehicle unless there is an OEM solution without visible wires. Otherwise you'll regret looking down at some abomination of wires and amazon adapters to charge your phone. Plenty of similar or better vehicles that fit the niche.

TIP most manufacturers will have a data sheet on what devices work / fit with each model.

I'm in the same boat.

Had to modify my current car ( 2017 Skoda Superb ) to fit my note 8 , note 9 and now my note 10+ in the wireless plate. The "modifications" , eg cuts , can't be seen without taking trim off fortunately.

I have just ordered a 2020 Toyota Rav 4 Hybrid. The wireless holder is even smaller and awkward. That said, I very very rarely need a charge in a work day now. Might still need to get creative with the trim though. .

I did not even consider how my recently purchased car would handle my phone. I plug it into Android Auto and stow it wherever it fits. The cars features are important to me but how it handles a phone is irrelevant to me since I can always make due or figure something out.

Then in my opinion you never really wanted the truck. Get a suction cup phone holder, or one that sticks to the vent. Many solutions. I didnt realize in todays world people were basing their vehicle buying decisions on how well they accommodate a phone.
