I just noticed this yesterday when I took my cover off. Phone works fine.
Make cellphones out of stuff that don't break on the back.
Jeez.
WHY do people want these fragile backs?
Who buys a 1K phone because it has a sexy backside?

This post is making me want to check the back of my phone. Sheesh .

The funny thing is so many people complained about the plastic backs not being " premium" enough. Now the complaint is the glass is too fragile. This is a vicious cycle . Lol

I held onto my Note 4 for so long because I've always disliked the glass sandwich form factor. I've had to learn how to be very careful handling my phones. I still prefer metallic phones.

True, but this is because so many people unquestioningly follow Apple's lead on everything. If Apple insisted that they had a magic revolutionary luxury plastic, then everyone else would jump onboard.

thought the phone in the op has saran wrap on it ;-) I do miss the plastic back the note 3 had. you could replace it with a different color back, you could replace the battery, and best of all, it was not slippery.

They used to have a plastic back.
And a removable battery.
Buy people with a lot of money.
Ot wasn't nice enough for them.
They wanted something flashy to show off.
So we lost everything.
We got glass everywhere.
The back of my note 10+ is broke in 2 places.
Got no idea how it got broke.
By the time I had the front and back glass replaced.
I'd loose most all of my trade in.
So I guess I might just put off getting a new phone for the wife or myself for now.
