Most features coming as separate app updates instead of a big UI 2.1 update as soon as the end of the month.

2.1 is still coming, but we won't have to wait for it to get many of the features.

This feature is partially already there. If you press and hold any of the lens icons, the zoom slider appears and the preset zoom options below the slider transition between each other by zooming in/out and is captured in the recording.
