New to Note 2, not sure if phone update or virus, help please!

A few hours ago, my phone went to a black screen with the following
At the top left hand screen, in small print.

Factory Mode (in red print)
Product Code: GT-N7185
Custom Binary Downloa: No
Current Binary: Samsung Offical
System Status Official
(then a green android picture)

(Then) DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!! (in Green)
I am worried that I have a virus! I have no Anti virus, so can I do anything?

That sounds like it's attempting to boot into recovery or to update firmware. Are you concerned about viruses because of something that was downloaded, or just because you haven't seen this screen before?

I have not seen the screen before! Other updates have only taken a minute or two, I will just have to see what happens, it was my son who thought it was wrong with a virus! If it is ok, I will put an anti virus on, could you recommend one? Thanks

I thank you for help, worried for nothing, the phone would not come back, after reading more, I removed the battery for 1 minute, then it has come on straight away!
So I am going to get an anti virus, before it is too late.

It wasn't a virus, you booted into recovery, you must have pressed the volume keys when powering on.

I use LOOKOUT anti-virus app.

Looks like you booted into download mode as someone mentioned. But I use avast antivirus and I like it a lot.
