My bionic was and is messed up due to the last update. 4.3 has screwed up my nexus7. I don't need more update grief

You make zero sense--you can't stop the updates--only delay them.

According to the article, the international versions started getting the update yesterday so it really could be at any time.

Guess I'll just be patient then. It's not like I havnt had to be anyway lol. I hope it doesn't ruin my phone like it did those poor gs3 owners. :-(

Sprint is rolling theirs out now. And there is a difference between the S3 update which is a Qualcom soc and the note 2 which is the Samsung Exynos soc.

Same sentiment here! My Verizon Note 2, still on original release software (4.1.1), runs like a champ yet. I don't see anything in these updates worth the risk of screwing that up. If it ain't broke...

Right. I sometimes forget that not everyone roots their device. Best of luck to you.

Yah, unfortunately you have to root to stop the OTA updater (a major reason I root all my devices as I want full control over the process). Wish Android gave us more/better control regarding the OS update process like they do with app updates (ex. you can turn off app updates if you want).

I root my devices too. I haven't seen an OTA in years.....lol

It would be awesome if you could check of a box so it doesn't keep asking you to update.

I'm in the UK and flashed the Nordic version that's out, works a charm so far, noticeable speed increase, better battery life and my wifi connection has improved, downside is Knox seems to be blocking my root access now

Edit: an update to supersu seems to have solved my problems fully rooted :-)

I got mine from carphone warehouse in Vodafone. Don't know if it's locked to vody though. Curious to see how long I'll have to wait though. I'm a bit dubious about it though, the 4.2.2 update for my note 8 messed up the digitizer tracking using the stylus.

Still no sign of an update for me yet. It feels like more broken promises from Samsung. I read an article the other day showing a leaked document saying the note 2 will also get kit kat along with the s3 and s4 ect.. I doubt very much we will see it. They can't even roll out 4.3 properly.
