So it's kind of a waste to get the 45w charger accessory. I cant imagine they stopped doing 45w charging. Maybe they just don't advertise it.

Wow! Sam mobile has an article confirming this.

Galaxy Note 20 series lacks 45W charging but you probably won’t care

If you check my post #238 and 239 was all I could find on this so I'm assuming yes the ultra does

Wasn’t during testing the 45w only gives you like 2-4% faster charge anyway? Maybe this is why samsung ditched it

Good question, if that's all it was not worth it then .

I feel like my 25w and 45w chargers charge my S20U at about the same rate.

There isn't a big difference except at the front end of the charge if the battery is low enough.

Makes sense, my baterry last all day and I have fast wireless charging turned off in the evening so when I put it on my charging stand it won't run the fan and keep the LED dimmed. I probably plug in my phone a couple times a month or when I leave town.

Damn I wasted getting the 45w charger on my preorder. Why is Samsung recommending it on the preorder page when the the phone doesn’t support it?

I guess you could say that samsung have experience in battery issues that could arise
I think I only ever used fast wired charging once on the Note 10+ @25watts
I got into a routine where I charge before work every morning to 100% and generally used around 40 - 50 % max per day, certainly no need for 45 watt charging.

However the P40 had 40 watt charging out of the box, very fast but I'm not sure this is good for battery health over time.

I used the the Samsung 45W on the S20 Ultra and the phone got very warm. I stopped using it. It didn't heat up Note 10+ however.

I actually ordered a 45 watt charger with some of the credit. Didn't get one with my note 10+, but I do have the electjet battery. That is supposed to be able to charge at 45 watts so not a waste at all. The electjet's 45 watt charging will not go to waste either. Works well to keep my work laptop going a few hours more when on the go.

I'm disappointed since my Note 10 plus 5G has 45w charging, and yes I'm aware that it never charges at 45w, best I have seen testing it is 33/34w using the Samsung 45w or the Elecjet PowerPie.
You would have thought they would have optimised it a bit at this stage instead of dropping back to 25w

ugh, should have come here first. I bought 2 (!!!) 45 w chargers with my credit. Oh well. I can't imagine it not being safe for use with the Note20, just won't charge at 45w.
