So i have been using my N20U naked for almost a day now. Everything seems fine other than when placing or lifting the phone off a surface...

And the wiggle if placed on a flat surface worries me but im guessing it shouldn't be a problem.

Just using a clear skin. No case.

I have bad experience with skins... Those skins sold in Indonesia are really rubbish. Putting the phone into the pocket and taking it out again a few times usually screw the skin...

Yeah, I've gotten some really bad clear ones that only last a couple weeks to a month before they start peeling. Slickwraps makes good clear ones that generally last a long time with good installation. However I'm iffy with recommending them b/c customer service is even worse than Samsung's if you have any issues. They also take a long time to ship usually. I've never used any of the companies like dbrand that other like so much b/c they don't make clear ones.

If you are one that is comfortable and not worried rocking a phone naked but wouldn't mind a skin for some super light/superficial protection... Latercase Kevlar case. ;)

I really am not a fan of Lew and when I read about his story with Pitaka I had no plans of giving him business... but I wanted super-thin and give the camera module a bit of cover/protection and his case is the only one. My favorite case and can't help recommending it.

The phone naked is just too slippery for me. Makes me uncomfortable even using it at home over carpeted floors it's just too slippery.

The Kevlar feels soooo good in hand (@Floss ;)). Hard to explain the texture but no fear of slipping out of my hand. Perfect fit against the phone body so it feels like it was part of the phone. As close to holding it no case as you are going to get. (I wouldn't doubt if a DBrand carbon skin is just a thick) Molded around the camera module to give it some protection and cut precisely to just show the silver bezels around the camera give it the right look. Seems durable and doesn't leave prints like glass.

I stuck with one case on my Note 8 for entire 3 years. This will probably be my only case I use for the N20U.

Ah... Like the Pitaka Aramid case. But is it sharp at certain areas? And i doubt i can get that here in Indonesia.

And now i have trauma from purchasing things from overseas. My Ghostek case which i ordered 2 months ago for my S20U(the phone has already been sold) is MIA by DHL. Ghostek is gonna refund me my money. But 2 months is long...

That's not good. I don't trust DHL to ship an empty envelope through them. I was wondering if you ever got the case in or not...:-(

No, they did a really good job with finish... the sides in the pics are crisp edges but no jagged or uncomfortably sharp edges. The corners are rounded even a bit softened around so no snag at the corners. Around the camera lens cutout very subtle on the finish but super smooth. I really don't have any other experience with Kevlar cases but have to say excellent job. Easily worth the $40. Anyone else with a Latercase curious to their impressions on it.

That sounds like DHL. They are slow and I've had many things come up MIA like yourself. I don't see how they stay in business myself. I'm glad Ghostek is willing to reship. Awesome...

With that Latercase, do those corners rise a little above the level of the screen to protect it if the phone is laid screen-down? I ordered a Latercase Kevlar for my Note 10+. I was just notified that it shipped today.

No. Absolutely no raise-ivity on this case meaning no laying faced down. Pretty much contoured to the corners exactly and edges rounded off to make the corners feel “soft” to the touch or when you have a corner resting on your palm when holding one handed.

Thanks for the info. I don't usually lay mine face down anyway, so I should be good.

By the way, do you know that you still have the protective film on the bottom of your phone? I usually take those films off, myself.

Actually I discovered that fact the day I installed the Latercase. I thought the only down side is no protection for top and bottom then I discovered the put the thinnest of film on the top and bottom. Hardly noticeable so perfect for me. I have full coverage now :)

Too bad companies like DBrand dont make replacement clears for the top and bottom.

One face down drop and the screen is history

You brave soul! But it's a gorgeous phone, so I don't blame you one bit for wanting to do that.
