New Samsung alert! Score a Galaxy S21 5G for as little as $99 right now
- Excited that I've finally pulled the plug on the Note 20 Ultra, in white, which should land with me tomorrow
I've gone for this as I loved the Note 10 Plus I had but felt it was overkill for my needs at the time (earlier this year) and wanted to try the iPhone 11 Pro Max as everything I have is Apple (that lasted all of 2 months haha)
The bought the Samsung A71, which in itself, is a superb phone; but I miss the camera capabilities that the Note 10 Plus had
So the A71 has sold and is going later this week; I'll update with pics when the Note 20 Ultra lands with me
So far I've only ordered the Otterbox Symmetry case for it; will probably go for the Unicorn Beetle 'rugged case' for it too and a Torro wallet case etcbandofbrothers2112 and kevinpleasants like this.11-23-2020 06:08 AMLike 2 - I'm sure you'll love the N20 Ultra and all that it brings.
I'm very happy with mine which I imported into the UK as I wanted the Snapdragon version.
I use the Samsung Black Leather Back Case, a dbrand camera module skin and a Whitestone Dome Glass Screen ProtectorDan_B1979 likes this.11-24-2020 01:00 AMLike 1 - I'm sure you'll love the N20 Ultra and all that it brings.

Thanks
Not overly fussed re the processor it uses; I'll never tax either
I'll be leaving the OEM protector on for now; it served very well on my previous Note 10 Plus and rather than than faff with a glass one that doesn't sit right or doesn't work well with cases etc
Will update more when it landsbandofbrothers2112 likes this.11-24-2020 03:18 AMLike 1 -
- Received, all data moved from my A71
Got bits finalised, signed into and moved across and its been very smooth sailing.
Nova backed up and moved across etc...
Got a nice Christmassy theme going, why not, it's been one of those years so far haha
I've got the Spigen Tough Armor case fitted and I've fitted a Spigen tempered glass camera lense protector too, OEM screen protector left on

Fantastic phone
I have Nova Prime but right now the stock Samsung Launcher satisfies my usage.
Love the theme and yeah why not. My Christmas Tree is up for the same reason. Not a fantastic year at all !
I use the Whitestone because I prefer the feel of glass over plastic and it plays well with most cases and the fps works 99%' ish of the time for me.Dan_B1979 and toenail_flicker like this.11-25-2020 12:13 AMLike 2 - Excited that I've finally pulled the plug on the Note 20 Ultra, in white, which should land with me tomorrow

I chose to leave the screen naked, I love how responsive it is. But I did put on an Otterbox defender and it's perfect.
I don't mind the size, it works for me. I like that it has a nice lip to protect the screen if the phone falls face down and I love that they made a deep window for the camera bump, it's completely protected.
I'm using Samsung messages but I installed Gboard and it's awesome.
So far I have zero negatives about this phone, it kicks butt like no other. 😁11-27-2020 05:02 PMLike 2 - I adore my Note 20 Ultra, I come from iPhone X and I'm not looking back.

I've installed a tempered glass camera lens protector too; fits superbly and does a great job. Another touch of 'peace of mind'
The OEM protector does a great job for me; it needs to stay on as I've rough hands and finger tips through using chalk for training; so the last thing I want to do is scratch the screen etc
I use Textra & Whats App and Swiftkey; they're my preferred choice and work superblyEvilguppy likes this.11-28-2020 06:01 AMLike 1 - Well, sadly; the honeymoon is over...
Wouldn't recognise SIM2, kept crashing, wouldn't recognise the SD card etc.
Tried all sorts from full resets to swapping SIMs to formatting the SD card before it was inserted etc...
Spoke to the seller I bought it off on eBay; started being arsey re warranty/returns, so spoke to my credit card company and they agreed to force a chargeback there & then, more so as I'd details conversations with the seller and Samsung tech support and they agreed that there was a serious issue and it'd need to be sent back to them
I wanted a refund, not another Note 20 Ultra as fell out of love with it and lost patience haha...
Bought myself a Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite and TBH; I'm very impressed; Ok, screen isn't as bling, but does a superb job, great refresh rate and the camera is about as good as I need for my simple needs...
So bye bye again to Samsung; I'm happy with my c£200 handset for now and will see what comes up in the near future...12-20-2020 05:50 PMLike 0 - Well, sadly; the honeymoon is over...
