This is rumour but it's gathering pace that Samsung have ditched the SD Card slot from the upcoming S21 range! if true I'd say the Note 21 will likely follow if it even arrives this year!

Maybe it's just me, but I'm getting abit annoyed and frustrated with Samsung, no charger, no SD slot and a plastic back if the rumours are to be believed.

Would no SD slot be a deal breaker for you in future versions?

SD slot or No SD slot...Indonesia always get the Hybrid sim version(Nano/Microsd or Nano/Nano)...but i personally wouldnt use a microsd if the phone came with 512GB or 1TB of ROM.Right now on my N20U 512GB im using a microsd because its an expensive microsd and im afraid to lose it -_-

No SD slot doesn't bother me. As long as the actual phone comes with at least 256 gb I'd be good.

I'd need a terabyte to drop the SD as that's what I (effectively) have now.

I would want 512 without SD card. The fold 2 only has 256 and I'm making that work, but I don't have my movies downloaded and always deleting pictures. I would feel comfortable with a 512. My fear is samsung is going to jump on the apple train again since they seem to like that ride lately and start gauging for memory.

Samsung Indonesia... They sold the S10+ with 1TB and 512GB available... Sells the S20U only with 128GB ROM... God knows what trick Samsung Indonesia in particular is gonna pull off next year.

To me they are gearing up to sell different memory sizes and charge a good amount per memory upgrade. They have been trying to get on the apple train a lot lately. Of course they have to wean is off the SD card first, then work in the high memory costs. I hope this isn't true myself.

I don't even use 64Gb of storage. I demanded an sd card back when our phones had 16Gb of storage and our data plans were capped at pitiful levels like 2Gb/month so the cloud and streaming weren't options.

Personally own over 10 Samsung chargers at this point, most have never been used, so while I feel an expensive device should include it's own charger the lack of one won't negatively impact me.

I would much rather have a plastic back over these worthless fragile ugly glass backs Samsung has used since the S6.

It won't negatively effect you now, but as those chargers stop working over time you will be saying different.

The whole point is samsung is not going to be dropping the price when they stop including these things. You're going to be paying the same or more for less. Why do people just accept that. Most people that are using samsung phones use the SD card, a main reason over the iPhone. I don't know, I come from a time that paying the same or more for less is just crazy talk.

I Echo this we are paying more for less and as Samsung fans being treated like mugs! the whole Exynos thing wound me up to start but it's just getting worse.

If none of those things bother you fair enough, but I'm getting to the point that my next port of call is gradually moving elsewhere maybe even Apple might seem abit extreme but the direction Samsung are heading isn't for me and I say that owning a Note Ultra, Tab S7 plus and the Samsung Active 2.

Will wait and see how the next 12 months goes before making any rash decisions, but as it stands I won't be buying anything else from them these will be my last purchases.

Also Samsung make SD cards so why they would affect their own sales by doing this is strange? but alot of what Samsung have done recently is strange.

Even less reasons now to stick with android devices.

Yeah but that's Apple! I can guarantee you Samsung can try but they won't be able to command those prices! Samsung phones drop like a stone the minute they are released.
No, but they can get more then they get for SD cards. SD cards have competition, built in memory there is no competition. I suspect the price will go up, maybe not to apples rates, but it's still up. Less options usually lead to higher prices.

Seems like they can push more for samsung cloud services too. I have everything on my SD so it makes changing phones a breeze. Insure hope all the rumors are wrong even though my gut tells me they aren't.

I think it's a bad move personally something Samsung seem to be making alot of lately but who am I at the end of the day, time and sales will tell.

Anyone that pays their launch prices for any of these handsets, considering you can pay a good £500-£600 less and get last year's S20 versions with the extras needs their head looked at.
