Have used Whitestone since Samsung went to curved screens but the quality of the glass and LOCA seems to have gone downhill with my N20U. I also have the well known fingerprint sensor issues in addition so I think I should investigate alternatives. Anyone have suggestions? It's a bummer since I had a single Whitestone Dome protector on my last phone for over 3 years versus the 3.5 months this one has been on my Note!

I agree. I love that the Whitestone dome glass worked well with the curved screens. But the edges chip so easily it seems now. I would have my phone in my pocket with keys and after walking around take it out and see a small chip on the edge. On my note 9 never had that happen before.

For fingerprint sensor I needed to delete and register my prints again for it to work better.

I got the 2 pack WSD when i got my Note20U , the only thing i experienced was hairline crack and its always after few days , think.it might be due that i carry multiple phones and probably happen but never had a issue with function . I still haven't come across something better for glass screen protector.

If you pocket your phone often, it bound to happen and caused the glass to lift. It doesn't matter what brand you have the results will be the same.

I just get a replacement for free from WSD.

I too think that Whitestone Dome has changed over the years. I have heard some great stories about it and then some horrible ones. I personally used Spigen for my screen protector needs on my S10. It worked well and is only starting to curl up a bit after almost a year of use. But it's not the same kind of fabrication as Whitsteone Dome.

Curved screens are beautiful and functional, but outfitting them with screen protectors can be a nightmare.

I’ve had my Spigen screen protector on since day 1 Pre-order launch day and the same film is on the phone in pic below. Surprisingly held up well and no lift or even build up on the edges and I pocket carry this phone every day.

Nothing does compare to the feeling of a glass screen like the Spigen on my iPhone XR. And with their screen being pretty much flat glass choices are endless and had for a few dollars. But not worth the price and dealing with the application for the N20U IMO and not giving up anything in clarity. I’m pleasantly surprised the FPS has been excellent with the TPU also.

I personally do hope they get rid of the curved glass in future models.

Not true...something has changed quality wise with WSD. My phone prior to my N20U was a S9+, and I put a WSD on it within 2 weeks of getting the phone at its initial launch. I'm not hard on my phones but do drop occasionally and am always careful putting in my purse pocket. I only took off the original WSD on my S9+ when I sent it in as a trsde in to Samsung and looked as good as the day it was installed. My N20U WSD was put on 3.5 months ago and has numerous chips and cracks. They did send a replacement but I don't have high hopes it will be of any better quality...

Wow! The same film since launch! Yeah, tempered glass has a quality that is just above plastic films. It's too bad that curved glass is just so difficult to outfit with screen protectors. I too hope that more models will just have flat screens.

Yeah, I have been very disappointed in my WSD with the Note 20u. I do not think I will ever spend money on these guys again.

Honestly, with the way the glass has been getting better, I have thought about going back to a Film protector.

With glass, there are just too many issues with the curved glass and the companies using the crappiest glue they can get at the lowest price so they can charge a premium and off up the premium we're paying for.

I had WSD on my wife's and my N20Us that we pre-ordered. Fingerprint reader accuracy was horrible.

She developed micro cracks almost immediately. She took hers off and was so happy with the FPS accuracy that she didn't put anything back on.

I took mine off a few weeks later because I hated the FPS issues, and I really hated the lip near the edges. The feel of that lip bothered me, and made it difficult to touch the edges of the screen; i.e. trying to access my edge panels...

So we've been running without screen protectors since, and our screens are fine. We ran our Note 9s with no screen protectors for 2 years, and they were fine and Samsung accepted them for trade.

At $80 that I paid for the pair of WSDs, I figure from now on I'll keep that money in my pocket. My insurance will replace a screen for $29. Much better deal IMHO - plus I get to use the phone as Samsung intended.

I agree, my bottom corner is lifting. This is the 2nd one I've installed & once this gets on my nerves enough I'll take it off. I swear the quality has diminished with the company. 🙄
