    My phone has been hacked, I'm certain. AT&T is of no help at all. I have 6 lines on my account and mine will show huge data chunks every other hour where my line is at 28gb and all others are like 1. I don't stream or anything else. There's a long story where my last line had been completely taken over. I got new service and a new phone and was a little scared to use it. They were in it before I was. I don't know a lot about this stuff, learning more and more. They used to be very obvious so much so they took over all of my accounts. Slowly I've gotten some back. To shorten this up, is this normal? Any help or advice would be amazing. Thanks in advance

    Welcome to Android Central! I don't see any evidence there of something using 28 GB of data. Can you show where you see that?

    Those are system app/apps on your Samsung , you are aware Samsung has over 300 preinstalled apps? No evidence there suggests u been hack.

    What makes you draw that conclusion?

    mine will show huge data chunks every other hour where my line is at 28gb and all others are like 1.
    How new is the device? There may be a lot of data being sent to Samsung/Google about usage. Granted not 28 GB worth. Like @B. Diddy suggested, can you show a screenshot of your data use? That should also breakdown what app is sending data.

    Something I'd like to add is any webpage that autoplays a video will ramp up the data consumption. I really hate that. Makes me want to ditch Chrome and use Brave or something.


    To shorten this up, is this normal? Any help or advice would be amazing. Thanks in advance
    And as @mustang7757 stated, there are many system apps, especially the ones that start with com.xxx. Those are system apps, which I wish Google would hide or make innaccessible. Most consumers don't need to see them and it can add to the hysteria that something malicious is on the phone when all these are are like the System32 files in Windows.

    Here's the last bill data usage. Everyone's line is low. Mine is at 50

    Go to settings>connection>data usage>mobile data usage does it correspond with the account data usage?

    I believe hotspot data usage they have in it's own usage menu to see the amount u use

    Would they report that separately in the carrier's bill? That screenshot looks like it's from the carrier, not from the system settings menu.

    And do system apps have basically every permission? I'm sorry if I'm slow responding I totally aoreciate the help. I've never used ny hotsot or tethering. My thought is some system apps aren't what they say r the permissions have been edited. My last line was completely taken over. I would get weird calls from agents leaving their number. Like a click to call service that used my Google voice it seems. All of my accounts had passwords changed etc. I hot a new number and new phone. Same sort of issues. I tried to post some of the permissions on system apps I have that are coming up as sketchy, but it's not allowing me to post more screenshots.

    I also run Norootfirewall app and block all these and my phone still works . I would think it wouldn't if they were system apps that were necessary. My main issue is I feel my privacy is invaded. It hasn't cost me money necessarily. But the data was 50 last month and I really don't use my phone at all like that. On my att bill it would show constant texts and repeat the last number. So if I were sitting with my boyfriend all day, my bill said I was texting him every minute. Att has been no help with this at all and I don't have any one that's this tech savvy to help me. Thanks fir helping at all I really appreciate it.
