playlists empty?

recently went on vacation and moved all of my things on my phone's sd card to an external hard drive to make room for videos i would film. now that i got back, i moved everything back (execpt for .android_secure, which doesn't want to budge) but my playlists in the default samsung music player are empty? was it because i moved my music? (i put them back with the same name in the same location...) tried rebooting but that didn't help. I noticed there's a playlist folder on my phones internal storage with my playlist names with the .pla file extension name, but i obviously can't open them on my phone.
