What problem are you referring to? The inability to write to an SD Card?

If you install a ROM, then you shouldn't have a problem writing to the SD Card.

Thanks, it appears to have worked.

The kitkat SD restrictions (it seems to me) had crippled (to some extent) my note 3.
It bothered me enough so, I reluctantly rooted my phone.
I am not technical enough to be confident in nor to take full advantage of being rooted.
Upon reflection, I don't buy Googles
'security ' story. It is more likely that Google is moving against Samsung since Samsung is one of the few companies still supporting SD cards.
