Galaxy Note 3 rooted phone

A

AC Question

I received a Galaxy Note 3 as payment for cleaning a house. The phone has been rooted; however, it was rooted by the person who gave it to me. My phone does weird things periodically. Almost as if someone else is accessing it. Can the person who rooted it remotely access my phone? As well as my apps and personal information on my phone?

How do I unroot my phone?

When you received the phone, did you do a full factory reset? The person who gave you the phone would have to remove their Google account first before the factory reset, in order to make it an authorized reset. Then you can set the phone up with your own Google account, and know that there is nothing left behind by the previous owner.
