All the documentation says up to 64gb, but is that just because that's the highest capacity card available? Or is there a technical limitation?

Though I couldn't be absolutely positive until i try it i would expect it to. They never said the NOTE 1 would support the 64GB sdxc cards but it does. If it is designed to use the 64GB capacity which is just barely starting push into what SDXC will allow the next size up should certainly work. I think it is all about what is just available to support.

I would suspect the limitation is stated simply because that is the current max offered. Some of the tablets said 32GB when that was the max and can use a 64GB microsd card.
