Now that we're receiving our Note 3s in the united states, what accessories are "must haves" for Note owners?

Include at least one link/picture of the peripheral you are suggesting and why I need it.

I'm new to Samsung (and thus new to the Note 3) but have Android experience for several years. And, yes, BlackBerry before that.

Good screen protector, tempered glass one and a solid case. This thing will bust apart if dropped sufficiently on a hard surface. I have (2) iLoome tempered glass protectorcs 9H hardness coming and got them at a pre-order price of $24.99 - 10% promo code from XDA-Developers thread good until 10/4.

I'm guessing the multimedia dock for T-mobile users.
You're allowed 2.5G/month as a hotspot, but are unlimited on all the films you want directly over your phone. So get the multimedia dock and just watch them from your phone on a larger screen/with better sound. Only trick is inserting a mouse into any USB port to force landscape mode on the HDMI output.

Yes, it's USB 2.0. And yes, it's already reported to work with the Note 3's USB 3.0 jack. (Currently waiting on mine to arrive.)

Raptor, every time I've tried a screen protector on anything I was so annoyed with it I took it off. Are the iLoome's all right with the S-pens and are they easy enough to install???

I've never heard of the iLoome and just looked it up. I was pretty impressed. I'm guessing it's completely touch/S-Pen friendly?

I get annoyed with screen protectors, too. I have taken them off of devices that I use regularly and stopped installing them on new devices. I won't say that I will never try them again, though. My Note 10.1 screen has something weird on it and I'm considering a screen protector for it.

I used a screen protector on my captivate and my xoom. In the end I ended up removing them because the would get crap all around the edges. I have never used one on my OG Note, and my Nexus 10. I was afraid to do it on my note because alot will noy work well with the Note. The N10 just looked to good to risk messing with how the display looks.

I love the idea of the multimedia dock. I would love to ditch my desktop for a vm on my home server and splashtop on a note 3 with that thing.

I don't have the Note 3 yet (hoping tomorrow). I do have a Note 2 with a Seidio glass screen protector, very S-Pen friendly, it's about $10 more than the iLoome, and they don't have one for the 3 yet, so iLoome is what I will get

This is my first iLoome purchase but based on their specs they seem identical to other tempered Glass screen protectors like Spigen, MIME USA, etc. Its not a film which are horrible at times and definitely NOT that 3M material Zagg users. Using one of the Glass screen protectors is like having nothing on the screen at all, 100% responsiveness and zero smudges. Plus you get no damage to the display if you were to drop it.

How hard is it to install? I tried putting one on my 10.1, I don't seem to have the knack for it.

How is the iLoome with screen clarity? Every screen protector I've used(Even the one on my S3 now) seems to make the screen resolution a little dimmer. I know they claim this one won't, but just curious to hear it from someone who's used it. I don't have a particular case in mind, though I'm waiting on the rumored element case for the Note 3, but will this work well with cases? Thanks for the info, ready for tomorrow!

iloome looks cool. actually looks like a screen protector i would purchase. i like that it looks like it will protect it from small scratches and dings. zagg screen protectors are .2mm thick. iloome seem to be .26mm thick. i couldnt find body guards info yet. so i would like to see which is better.

Must have accessory is gonna be a kickstand case. I got a note 2 last November and the case in December. I've never felt the need to change it. I also have expensive screen protector best buy sells. The note 2 pen slides easily across it. I have read the the note 3 spend has a rubbery tip. You can buy spen tips that change the slipperyness from amazon.

Just thought I would point out that generic Multimedia Desktop Dock for the OG Galaxy Note works pretty well with the Note 3. Tried it out last night and worked like a charm. Even looks pretty well centered. That makes a nice cheaper alternative to the more advanced Multimedia Dock that the Note 2 has. I haven't tested Audio out though.

Having used Spigen's in the past I feel very confident the iLoome versions will be on par with performance. I have found no issue with previous tempered glass screen protectors since they are "optically clear" and have never impacted display brightness or had any rainbow effect. I have (2) coming next week and will give feed back once they arrive.
