The Note 3 is only about 326 Nits, SG4 under 300, HTC One is in the mid 5's, LG G2 is 400 Nits and the iPhone 5 is over 600. The Note 3 is brighter than the Note 2 and SG4 but much duller than these others. The display also looks more gray for whites and doesn't come close to the IPS on the LG G2, LCD3 on the One or the iPhone 5. It is better and more crisp than the other Samsung phones though. I would recommend going to a Sprint or AT&T store to see it to decide if it is bright enough for you.
