Samsung Note 3: "Prevention Information" Message

I have recently starting seeing this on my phone every hour or so, and always when I reboot.


If I click OK it goes to my list of applications
If I click cancel the message disappears for a while.
I haven't clicked the "do not show for 30 days" option, as I'm trying to figure out why it is appearing, but will do so if all else fails
No applications appear to be running at the time.

New Note 3 phone. Unrooted.
Any help will be appreciated. It's driving me mad.

I dont know which app is causing the popup, but you can go into security in general settings and uncheck verify apps.

Did you side load an app? Do you have an eye patch and say things like "argh" or "shiver me timbers"

Same thing happening here. I deleted the two side loaded apps, so I'll see if it stops. It just started for me yesterday.

I deleted all the recent apps I downloaded, it's weird that we're all getting this same message all of a sudden.

Tagging this thread, as I am getting this message as well. I checked the 30 day box. only apps installed by me are Shazam, HF Scientific Calculator, Google Sky Map and Lotus Notes traveller.

i get this message too and it just recently started, i had downloaded a game i have always played called kingdoms of camelot, my bank app, facebook and facebook messenger and those are still on my phone, and i had whatsapp, skymap, and touch which i uninstalled trying to get that damn message to diappear... all apps have been downloaded from play store... help guys i dont wanna have to reset

I have Note 3 (SM-N9005), unrooted, have the same message. When I unmarked "Unknown sources" the message disappeared.

Under the General tab, scroll down to Security, uncheck install apps from unknown sources. This disables the ability to download any app that is NOT from the Play store, e.g. Amazon. It has stopped the pop up that some are receiving.

Seems to be Knox ... there is an app Knox Disabler in Play Store for rooted phones ...

Same problem here. Didn't start until I installed the most recent update. I did a complete reset and haven't had the problem since.

my note 3 started to annoy me too.
If you scroll down the notification bar and longpress on the "prevention Information" it will show u which app is causing it!! The strange thing is the app which was causing the problem was "KNOX notification manager" but i already deactivated it! :-\

This just started happening to me too! How do I fix this? I have unknown apps unchecked and Knox is disabled already thanks to AT&T. This pop up is so annoying!

ETA: You can recreate this message by switching your wifi off/on. I long pressed the notification and it took me to Knox Notification Manager but have no way of shutting that off!
