Anyone ever go on the Samsung website and look at the note 3 phones. Did you notice that the ratings for all carriers were 5 star and all are glowing reviews? I wonder how that is possible since I gave it 4 stars with a few issues I reported. Not to mention, my review is not on there, and it was a decent review, just mentioned that signal could be better, I gave it 4 stars and listed the great things also. As title says, looks like Samsung is stacking the deck on their website for reviews.

While I wouldn't be horribly surprised I do notice than whenever I go to AT&T's website all their more expensive offerings get 5 stars. I wondered if they did that or if the reviews were responsible. Samsung is not scared to bend the deck to make itself look good. Something that's not necessary, IMO, as their products are good and speak for themselves.

When did you post the review? They may reserve the right to read it before publishing.

over a week ago. Look for yourself, they are all 5 stars for all the carriers. Just my opinion, I don't think any smart phone gets 5 stars, they all have issues of some sort.

I wasn't trying to argue the point. I agree that it wouldn't be at all surprising if Samsung did this sort of thing.

Samsung does not need to bend the deck, their phones like all makes of phones have issues. They should use the reviews to improve their phones. It would be one thing if someone just goes on and bashes the phone to no end, but I gave it a decent review with a couple possible issues, the pros outweighed the cons. I said there could be a signal issue, which Samsung has been known for, that by now they should have worked on and fixed that problem. that was the negative, I gave several positives and I am keeping the phone, it seems to work fine with the signal issue, just not as strong as I have had before. Like I said, I don't think any smart phone qualifies for 5 star reviews, there is always some sort of issue with all of them. I respect a company that lists the bad with the good reviews more, it shows that maybe they are looking at them and will work on the issues listed, and that they are not trying to hide anything. The only reviews they should block are the ones that are obvious bashers that are ripping to be ripping to make another phone look better.

I am not arguing the subject, just chatting. I was answering the question and chatting is all.

Ok. No sweat. But yeah...not really all that surprising after Samsung and the scuffle of posting bad reviews on other devices.

What some businesses do is push all great reviews to the top.. Push the bad reviews to the bottom or off the list.

I have worked in internet sales in the past, and we had an online review system. You can not have just an open review board, and it go live automatically. If you do, its the worst idea, and asking for trouble.

We would get reviews that didn't make any sense to the product they were reviewing, let alone, they didn't buy it from us. Ours actually showed the IP address to us. You would have some that posted horrible reviews, and if we knew who it was, we would reach out and try and make it right. A lot of time our products, it came down to user error, though not all the time. Not that I think you should only post the 4 or 5 star reviews, and leave out things that are fitting to the product. We at least always looked at the reviews, and then would talk about them every couple of weeks, and if we needed to change something we would.

Keeping that in mind, if I have an issue, and can't get an answer from the company, I would post it to the review site, since I know someone has to see it. Very few companies allow it to post immediately. Shopping sites like Amazon, are some of the fastest to post though, since they can have a team dedicated to anything related in that area. And reviews can make or break a product there. And all companies know about the forums, just like this one, and are most likely either sponsers, or signed up to get notifications when their name is included in a post. You have to be proactive, and know when things are being talked about. Even if it is some kid, mad at your site at 3 in the morning.

You have to take into account that most people are going to have glowing reviews of their new device. Think of it like a marriage, at first it's new and exciting, then after a few years you want to.....well lets just say it's not always 5 stars.....
