I'm getting a replacement N3 tomorrow, but only because I want the black version. Otherwise my current phone is perfect. What features should I test? I'm worried about getting a dud before my 14 days is up with VZW.

- WiFi speed (as compared to current phone)
- WiFi connection reliability
- LTE speed (as compared to current phone)
- signal strength
- home button (loose; a lot of play)
- speakerphone (garbled transmission)
- headset speaker (garbled transmission)
- microphone
- light/motion/proximity sensors
- notification light
- battery life
- SD card reader (check for overheating)
- camera (video/pictures)
- camera flash

I've read of reports of some Note 3's having a loose/wiggly home button, so you may want to check that as well. Other than that your list looks pretty complete. Congrats on the black Note 3. Batman would be proud of you!

Do you not have a case on it?

I would personally keep the one you have if you are having zero issues with it, and just look for a case that has the colors you want.

Camera and flash

Also, in other posts on the forums people have complained about the phone overheating when using an SD card. I myself experience the overheating without even having an SD card installed, only after moderate use. Certainly check that out.

Your list is solid. In addition to WiFi/LTE speeds, I'd add signal strength.

You're going to play with it a lot anyway, since it's new. Just pay attention when you are playing.

Good luck, hope you're as happy with yours...
