Usually I'm on Wi-Fi so I never have any problems with apps that utilize a network connection but as soon as the signal is lost the phone should switch to the mobile network (if in an area with reception) correct? Well that's not the case with me.
While I'm out on the road, away from any sort of hot-spot I find that I'm never on my mobile network but I do have cell reception. I thought it was a carrier issue, but this is the kicker: As soon as I make or receive a call, the 4g kicks in. If I go back on a Wi-Fi network and leave, I'm in the same situation as before and have to place a call to get the 4g back on. This is only a temporary solution though.
This seems like some sort of software issue to me. Does anyone have a solution or similar experience with a similar situation?
