I get 8GB of 4G data a month but I never use anywhere near that much and I tether to my ipad and chromebook.

Depends on the month. Anywhere from 20gb to 700gb.

I average 85 GB a month.. Sometimes higher.. Sometimes lower.

Below is my usage this cycle so far (usage resets the 7th each month.)

I used to average about 10gig a month. I decided to join Netflix for my free month to watch the 2nd season of House of Cards. Even though I split the season between billing cycles, I'm already at 20 for this month, and it started on the 18th. Netflix can sure gobble up the gigs. Now that I've finished the series, I'll probably stream another 3 or 4 movies for good measure before canceling.

Oh my God! I've had my note 3 now for a month (my first smart phone)
and used 356MB!
Do you ever put the thing down or sleep?

Sounds like you could probably still get by with a dumbphone. Once you start using the features that a smartphone offers, I suspect that you'll see your data climb. Otherwise, you're kinda wasting your money.

Not necessarily... They could have alot of wifi most of the time so they use the features once in wifi.

Just because they don't use it over mobile data doesn't mean they don't use their smartphone.

Yeah, I try to use wifi when possible. But still get too close to my paltry Vz cap. I came from Sprint, truely unlimited, but about a tenth as fast... My usage habits have not changed one bit (mostly just Sirius at work), but my volume nearly doubled on Vz. Methinks Vz is counting funny. Wish I could do something about it.

Then, I would say, don't be amazed by those of us who don't have access to very much Wi-Fi , as if using multiple GBs of data is unusual or strange.

I know a few people that use little data because they are on wifi most of the time. They still enjoy a nice smartphone
