Sounds like you could probably still get by with a dumbphone. Once you start using the features that a smartphone offers, I suspect that you'll see your data climb. Otherwise, you're kinda wasting your money.

Not necessarily... They could have alot of wifi most of the time so they use the features once in wifi.
Just because they don't use it over mobile data doesn't mean they don't use their smartphone.
