    I bought a 4G SIM Card with 4G provider.

On my phone I have no LTE option, but in an HTC One of a friend with the same SIM card, he has the LTE option and the 4G symbol shows up.

On my phone the 4G symbol or the LTE network option never show.

Bought the phone here: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Region Locked Smartphone - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Did the latest firmware update through KIES 3 yesterday. Kies | SUPPORT | SAMSUNG UK

I believe you have a Chinese clone international model which does not have 4G LTE radios so you would not be able to access LTE service no matter what sim card you put in the phone.

Someone else may have more info but I believe this is correct from my Google search.

What model is the device? Carrier version or a 900/9005 model? Though 9005 models support 4G, it's international 4G and not carrier or USA compatible. The 900 has no LTE radios built in it.

As said here OP you bought the 900...so no LTE radios are in the phone.. Hence why you are not getting LTE.

I have the N9005 Version too (UK) and never see the LTE or 4G sign only HSPA+ my area hasn't got 4G yet I don't think 4G has only recently started rolling out in the UK a lot of cities don't have it yet only the bigger cities, only some parts of Northern Ireland have it have you checked with your network provider if your area has it? The only other thing is I can think of is have you got mobile data switched on?

I think you may have actually got a replica where did you get the device from? Your missing LTE in the network mode part section here is what mine looks like...

Did you buy it ship and sold by Amazon? Or buy it through a third party on Amazon? Either way if it advertised 4GLTE and you don't have 4GLTE then contact the seller for a return

So you say if the option should always be there in the menu, even if there's no 4G signal available?

Maybe rooting the phone and using this app? https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...gnalinfo&hl=en,

Correct, the option should be in the menu if the phone is capable of lte, regardless of if your carrier or location has lte.

You can try that app, I doubt it would show any hidden lte radio though.

Personally if it was advertised with lte, the LTE should be accessible without root.

This.^^^^ I was going to mention that but the OP seems determined that this is an LTE phone, which I'm pretty sure it's not.
