Note 3: Mods & Roms

Some like to stay original stock and some are not fussed about root and Roms.

I am the opposite of that, the experience of root and flashing roms has been great and I have learned a lot in the process which is handy.

I also like to spend time tweaking the phone exactly to my liking.

So far the Rom that has really been great and it's one that I come back to is X-Note.

A lot of time and effort goes into these Roms and I appreciate that.

Some will argue that there is no point as phones are now offering great customisation and performance tweaks are now fast becoming not necessary.

This may be true to a certain degree, but certain elements will always be locked down and for that reason alone is why I like to have root and Roms. It opens things up and also provides developers with something to do in terms of building a platform that many will enjoy and credit to them.

Below is my current setup and I really like it, it's clean and nicely designed with the Lamborghini air command also adds that extra bit of class to the fantastic note 3.

Also running at 280dpi offers that nice touch and makes it look like it should.

There are some things that will always need root access to use. Xposed Framework, apps to change the CPU clock speed, even keeping your stock ROM, but flashing a different kernel.

Exactly I like to have that control and as good as phones are fast becoming in terms of customizing. I think there will always be a need for Root and Roms.

So feel free to share your set up and experience and thoughts of Rooting and flashing custom roms.
