Does developer option change some app appearances?

I am confused how some of my apps look totally different than my wife's note 3. Yes all sw is the same and up to date. Only thing is I have developer settings available.

That shouldn't make a difference at all. Is there any way you could post the screen shots? Even transferring them to a PC and uploading that way? I would be interested to see this.

A few of my regular commercial apps changed appearance in some ways after KitKat. Different bigger drop down menus on bank/shopping/used car apps. OP's would probably both have the same firmware though.

Via my Note 3 on AC.

Mine is on verizon. No kitkat yet. Somehow they are different in many ways. Unless using the stupid launcher affected my phone after I took it off. No I'm not rooted either. They must push different versions without changing the log somehow. It's the only way I could have the new Facebook ui.

This is the new Facebook ui. And the drop down to change rooms on the watchon app is above the power, my wife's doesn't have this. She has it setup the same way I do. Oh and her notification bar is not up top on the watchon app either.
