Display comes on "randomly" and stays on.

My Note 3 has started to exhibit the following behaviour.

When it's on charge by my bed, I am woken by the light from the lock screen.

I can turn it off but sometime later it comes on again.

If I do not turn it off, it stays on even though I have my timeout set to 2 minutes.

Any idea why it should be doing this?

It is on 4.4.2 and rooted. The only reason for the root was for Call Recorder. I don't have anything else for root only running. (That I am aware of)

Are there any logs that would show what is triggering it?

I just turn the phone over. Problem solved.

My screen comes on when I go to bed and plug the charger cable into the N3 and it comes on again later when the charge hits 100%. So, the screen lighting up during the night 'could' just be related to that?

Do you have power brownouts or other issues? If your electric supply is briefly interrupted, the charger will stop working for that short time and the N3 will light up again the same as if it has just been connected when the power comes back.

It's an obvious question, but have you checked notifications when the screen comes on during the night? Is there a new one that is doing nothing more than adding an icon to the status bar and lighting up the screen?
