Every picture from every email I get shows up in Gallery with a long set of numbers as an album name. I don't want to delete them but I don't want them in gallery. I cannot simply rename with with a dot because the email app created this folder so it would screw up corporate email. Also Pdf shows up as a picture in gallery. I want to keep the pdfs but I don't want to see them in Gallery. Suggestions? (No I do not want to use quickpic) Thanks

Gallery - Albums - Menu - Select Album - checkmark the album - menu - hide items.

Do this one album at a time. Don't check multiple albums.

That choice doesn't come up for me. Only choice is slideshow.

I added this above - "Do this one album at a time. Don't check multiple albums." See if that changes it. If not, maybe it's the phone model/firmware.

I tried one album. Same thing. Just slideshow. VZW stock 4.4.2

I'm also with Verizon and on stock 4.4.2 - and I have the option jpr mentioned in their reply. I've attached some screenshots so you can see what I get.

Sarks.

Hm. I don't know what to do then. Mine won't do that. The problem pics
folders are on the sd card. Perhaps that is the issue?

1. Create an empty file and copy it over to your SD card. Rename it:
.nomedia

2. Copy that file into every folder you DON'T want to see in your Gallery.

3. Win!

I think that's it. I just tried to "hide" an album which is on my SD card and the only options it then gives me are slideshow and rename.

Oh, I've used it too in the past. When you mentioned it I said to myself damn! I remember that. It may work in memory but for my phone not in ext sd card.
