Lollipop OTA update bricked my Note 3, need suggestions!

I recently got the OTA update prompt for lollipop, the phone successfully updated. However, during the reboot the phone wouldn't turn on despite my numerous attempts at force starting/troubleshooting (after noticing the phone wasn't going to start on its own). A week prior to the update, I dropped my note 3 on the floor which resulted in a cracked screen. Verizon won't trade the phone in for a refurb, now I'm stuck in dilemma as to what i should do! The phone was operating with no issues after I dropped it on the floor, it was the OTA update that bricked the phone. I tried to get Odin to recognize the phone but unfortunately no luck. Anybody have suggestions as to what I should do with the phone? I really don't feel like paying fulling price for a new note 4 (loved my note 3). Thank you

Have you tried "Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation" in Kies? That may help to resolve firmware installation issues.

I haven't tried that yet, would that software resurrect my phone? thank you

Worth a try, if not get a Note 4. I'm sure you'll love it just as much, if not more.
