Just finished my first battery calibration after Lollipop update.

This is an Anker 3200 mAh battery. I have done a calibration when I put it in back in January. My calibration is usually 3-4 hr video, 1hr hulu/netflix, 10 min call, rest of are normal web, email. I do have primarily dark themed apps and firefox with black background.

As you can see in the screenshots below, Lollipop's screen on time is about 10% longer than Kit Kat. Overnight standby is also excellent.

PS. I did not factory reset the phone, I did a cache wipe and rebooted it twice.

Calibration just resets the you see under the first graph - which function or app used what percentage of battery. It doesn't calibrate the phone "to the battery" or any of the other nonsense I've seen floating around the web.

You're showing a 25 hour period for KK and a 26 hour period for LP - since your mobile network signal isn't solid, that's a major battery user, and we don't know how solid it was in LP. The mobile signal differences alone could account for more difference than that hour. (So could wakelocks, so could the wifi signal if you have the phone set to always search for a wifi signal.) And your screen on time was twice as much in KK as it was in LP - and the screen is another major battery user.) So you're not comparing apples and oranges, you're comparing apples and elephants.

BTW, letting the battery go down to 7% regularly is a good way of needing a new battery every 6 months. Try to never let it get below 40% if you want it to last.

????? You may have misread my screen shot.

My screen on is 8.5hr with kk, 9.25 hr with lp, 9.25/8.5=1.09. I rounded to 1.1 because i let kk went down to 6%. Where did you read "half"?

I test these in similar routine at similar location, cell signal impact should be similar.
