How do I separate my contacts from 2 different google accounts on android?

I have 2 google accounts. One is personal and the other from my work. I want to keep my work contacts separate from my personal contacts on my Note 3 android. When I want to send a personal email from my phone, the names of all employees as well as my own contacts starting with the first letter appear. I don't want to send an email to the wrong person. Since these are different accounts, I would expect the contacts to remain separate. Is there a way to separate my personal contacts from my work contacts?

Welcome to Android Central! Open Contacts, tap Menu>Contacts to Display>Customize. You should be able to select only one account to display contacts from. However, I'm not sure if this would affect the phone's search function when you're entering an email in the Send To field--it might still look in all possible contacts, not just one account's
