Why is my Note 3 showing 'In a call' when connect to bluetooth in CRV

Phone (Note3) Used to work fine. Lately connects as usual but shows 'In a call' and shows the timer with length of call ticking up the seconds. Now I cant use Note3...I deleted it from CRV and reinstalled it as a new phone...but problem persists

Either the phone or the CRV got an update, making them incompatible. (Bluetooth specifies HOW the data gets from one end to the other, it doesn't specify WHAT data gets there.)
