Verizon note 3 on t mobile. always on 2g E network

I have a Verizon note 3 .Finally had enough of verizon BS.went to tmobile.i very rarely can get 4g once in a while.but mostly its on 2 g .Always says E .do I have a settings issue ?I thought I could get 4g lte on tmobile network on this phone.If anyone could help thankyou.

You should unless a) you're in a very weak TMobile signal area or b) you're in an area where TMobile is using 700MHz for 4G (they have the license - I don't know if they're using it yet) and you occasionally pick up a 1700MHz tower. You should be getting 3G though. (See if TMobile techs can get the phone set right for their network.)
