How can I get the flashlight to turn off?

Can't turn off flashlight

I'm using Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and somehow the flashlight has turned on. I do have an app for flashlight but it's not running. I tried turning it on and off from there but no result. The app said there's a different application using my LED. I opened task manager and closed all running apps and nothing. I have no idea how it has turned on but now I can't even use my camera because of it so please help

Welcome to Android Central! Does it stay on if you reboot?

Flashlight apps have Camera permissions because the LED flash is part of the camera, so if the flashlight app is malfunctioning, it can prevent the camera from working correctly. Try uninstalling the flashlight app and reboot.

My Samsung S6 has the flashlight on all the time since a short while ago - it will not switch off - please ell me how to lose the app as I am not very computer literate.
It has also changed all the screen colours from the usual to a mix of purple and green - not very nice to look at any more. Any ideas please
