Samsung Note 3 T Mobile unlocked not getting 3G

Hi All,

I got a Samsung Note 3 N900T ( T Mobile unlocked version), but I am unable to access 3G from my phone. Normally I only get connection of 2G. I am currently using Idea network in Ahmadabad region. Occasionally the phone does show 4G symbol, the speed is still of 2G.

Pls advise if any one facing same problem and probable solution for the same?

Welcome to Android Central! Which carrier are you using? You need to make sure the phone supports your carrier's 3G bands.

Also, go to Settings>Mobile Networks>Preferred Network Type​, and make sure it includes 2G, 3G, and 4G.

I am using Idea cellular network in India, currently my fried using device from HTC T-Mobile unlocked device.. my current selection for network as per required for 3G

It looks like the phone should be compatible with Idea. Are you saying that your Preferred Network Type includes 2G, 3G, and 4G?

Yes.. I have kept preferred network type as auto. If i select it as WCDMA (for 3G) only than the network signal disappears.
Udder normal circumstances the phone works well for calling and 2G data, but no 3G. I loose data connection altogether whenever I visit Mumbai. I have also activated data when roaming as well in phone.

Make sure the APN settings are correct: Idea GPRS & 3G Settings- Manual Internet Configuration APN

Have tried that as well.. but does not....
