Hello everyone,

I was looking for a solution that would allow for easy in and out for the device as well as look good in the car. I did not want to use a car vent mount because of the positioning of the vents on my Honda Pilot. In the end, I went with the Proclips dash mount as well as Proclips ball mount to work with the iOttie Easy Touch 2. I know ProClips is taking pre orders for their Note 4 holder but honestly I dont like how it looks and I think they have gotten lazy with their designs lately. Not to mention the cost. I am not sure what other solutions are out there that can be combined with the ball mount but think this would give you a good idea. Here is a short clip I made. Overall, this combination would make it pretty much universal.

Hi, Harry. While the Note 4 is in the mount, is the Note's rear camera able to take video, or is it obstructed by the mount itself?

Well, that will depend on where your dash mount is placed but to answer your question, the mount does not obstruct the front camera. On my setup, I can record while I drive or using the rear facing camera, do a video call.

Thanks for the info, Harry. I've looked at a number of pictures of this mount, but none of those pictures show it holding an actual Note 4, let alone a view from the back to show that the camera isn't obstructed.

Yeah, I thought the same thing when it arrived. I thought it looked huge in the other videos and honestly it does when you mount a baby phone like an iPhone. When I opened it, I thought it was the wrong item since it was so small.

One more question, if I may, and I'll leave you alone. Does this package include a metal disc to attach to a dashboard onto which the base of the arm can be suction-cupped?

I noticed that. If you check out the short video I made using the Proclips, there was little movement as far as I can tell. No video stabilization was enabled BTW.

I think I'm just going to buy the iOttie mount and figure a way to make it work for me. It's just not that expensive. At least I know that the Note 4 while in a case will fit in the "jaws" of the mount and that the camera is not obscured by the mount. Thanks for putting up with all my questions. :)

Not sure why you guys just don't use the Proclip adjustable holder that fits the Note 4 with a case. Below are pictures of my Note 4 in the Tech21 case sitting in the Proclip holder that is adjustable to 3.5" Large Universal Adjustable ProClip Holder T2-ProClip USA

Because of the cost of the Proclip mounts I'm going to wait until I get a new car to get one. I get 3 yr leases and usually upgrade phones every 2 years so I want to get as much use out of it as I can. Too bad Proclip is so expensive and phones/cars change so frequently as being made out of metal I'm sure it'd last forever.
