Mine sucks. I'm going to try and wait for the firmware update but this is far from what I was expecting. I remember when I had a Note 2 and remember great battery life. This phone might be going back and I'll keep using my OnePlus One if things don't improve.

Oh and these pictures include letting the battery charge about 20% before I left work so that I'd have enough juice to get through my evening classes.

So how is your battery life?

You may have a lemon. Might want to exchange it to see if that helps.

I notice you have download booster on.. That could be draining as well since it's keep LTE on stand by.

These are both a far cry from the reviews talking about 6-8 hours, or more, of screen time from a single charge. I assume you both got the update Samsung pushed out that was said to "significantly improve battery life"?

I'm still getting one on Friday, but if the battery is worse than my S5 it goes back regardless of how much better the rest of the phone is.

Half of the time shows no activity, as when you were sleeping overnight. So make that 60% left after 7 hours, not 15 hours.

These are from my S5 not the Note 4, but the screens you guys are providing don't seem to see imply the phone will see this kind of battery.

The first two are recent, the second three are from the day I got the phone and include using it out of the box. Setting it up, downloadig all my apps, no charging, etc. I'm including these because of the whole "you have to condition the battery" thing.

From what I'm seeing in this thread I'm afraid the Note 4 can't match this kind of life.

Err what? I think if my note 3 battery didn't hit the hay so to speak my note 3 battery has generally been way better then the s2 skyrocket, s3 and s4 I had before. I'm a heavy user and so far about 62% with 2 hours and 30 mins of screen time. Should end up with 4 - 5 hours when my phone dies. Mind you I keep my phone brightness pretty high around 65%, sync stuff all the time, video playback, and streaming music

Idle time counts? If I was in a super low / dead signal area and it was idle it could drain like crazy ..... So the idle time counts against it as well. I didn't say it was 100% usage.

No we haven't received the update for the battery life improvement. So that could play a big factor.

You used WiFi in those ... As I said I had zero wifi usage. When I am at home on WiFi it uses way less power... When I was in the pool hall and at the gfs house last night I get LTE but it is definitely a weaker LTE signal so it isn't the best for the battery consumption.

There is a lot of mobile data usage in my second set of screen shots - check it again. That second set is day one, out of the box, setting it up as a new phone, still managed over 3 hours screen time.

WiFi or not, none of the screens any of you are posting match the amazing endurance claimed by several review outlets and it is highly concerning. One of the reasons to buy a big phone is battery life, at least it was on the Note 2 and Note 3 I used to have.

Like I said, I'm still going to get it, but if the battery ends up being crap I'm returning it. I don't buy big phones to make them even bigger with extended batteries. Actually, to be completely honest, I'm thinking of waiting to see reviews of the now announced Nexus 6 before I make any decisions. Specs that match the Note 4 across the board, bigger screen, and no Samsung bloat for less money in a body only 5mm taller. We also now know that the Nexus 6 does not have the same camera as the Moto X 2014 so that is one worry to cross off. I'm an impatient dude and supply issues tend to be a thing with Nexus phones, though, so this is a big maybe.

Well it's hard for me to gauge it since I've only had it a few days. Also we haven't received the update which is supposed to fix battery usage as well.. So that could make a difference.
