Next battery day yet (just over a week). This is a Verizon phone but spent almost 14 hours or if 17 on Wifi.

    17 hours off charger
    5 screen hours
    24% remaining

It's nice having a stock battery than finally lasts as long as I do each day. This is without using power saving mode.

In two days you only had your screen on for 2 hours? I'd think a note 4 would be a bit overkill for someone with such minor use but whatever floats your boat. I got my most SOT yesterday:

Oh my God!!! You are so right! I only stared at my phone for 2 hours over two days! And those two days obviously represent how I use it every day despite the fact that I have a very busy lifestyle outside of staring at little screens!!!

I mean, what was I thinking buying the Note 4!?!? I am going to return it tomorrow for a flip phone. And why stop there? Since I only drove my Mercedes 8 miles in the past two days, I am going to get rid of it ASAP and get a used Toyota Corolla!

Thank you so much so setting me straight!!!!!!!

Well usually because standby time sucked with previous phones and they usually die within 8hrs or less with less screen time. And here we have a battery that gives us more (stock mind you) when we're at work. Besides you may see never touched because the on screen is less. But I see hours of music , calls, and streams. I never turn the screen on that much. But I'm always streaming an podcast or music or speaking on the phone or viber for hours on end. So this is perfect for me if I only use 2-10% during an hr long call or 2-3 hours of streaming. When usually I'll be at 65% to 50% within an hr or two of doing just that.

Don't think he's being sensitive he's being honest. Many of us don't need a phone to last hours for us to stare at it. We just need a smartphone that last all through work and gives power and a functionality use when we need it. The note 4 does that. What maybe normal for you is not normal for everyone. You see a phone barely used and they (and myself) are seeing a phone being useful and lasting exactly as it should. My battery shouldn't die when I use it moderately or lightly it. And that's what some people are looking for and the note it giving that plus more.

I have a question, I know we should close the apps in the task manager in the home screen to prevent from apps running, now, do I also need go to application manager and close programs that are running? I ask because today I wanted to see what the big difference is to have the screen brightness at 50% (I always have it at 100%) and see no big difference about it. Right now is at 40% battery with 8 hrs. Screen time is 2 hours and 50 mins. Sorry no screenshot, dont know how to.
You should NOT be using task manager and closing those apps. This will decrease your battery life. Android will close them as needed.

There is no harm or hit to battery life by force closing non-system apps, in particular ones that don't normally auto start at boot up or that don't restart themselves after being force closed. As an example, I always force stop (via Application Manager) Sunday Ticket, SiriusXM, Foxfi, or My Backup Pro when I'm done with them to ensure they don't contribute to any battery drain. These apps don't normally run at boot; only when I specifically run them, so they don't need to continue to run when I'm finished with them. In fact, I've read many reports where some of these apps have contributed to battery drain when left to run, something that would otherwise not happen if they were force closed. Contrary to popular belief (and from my experience), the Android OS is NOT always the most efficient at managing running applications and you sometimes need to help it.
Key word being SOMETIMES. Making a habit of closing all open apps only to open them back up will cause excessive battery drain. Those apps are not really running in the background, rather put on a closer shelf for quick retrieval. I agree that occasionally there is a rogue app that doesn't close properly and needs to be forced closed but generally speaking Android does a good job maintaining this. But to each his own. YMMV

That was a actual screen usage over two of my "normal days".

Exactly. I stream music (locally stored or streamed) via Bluetooth from it over 6 hours per day while at the office. And I use it for actual phone calls. Shocking, eh?

Perhaps you missed the part where I stated that whatever works for you works for you and he (being sensitive) took it as an attack and decided he must respond with that hilarious response. Its okay if you missed that part, just being forthright here! I have no qualms with how somebody uses their phone, I couldn't care less I just found it odd that someone posted a picture showing two days of use with only 2 hours of SOT and commented while also contributing to the thread with my own stats. Again I said, to quote myself, "whatever floats your boat." Whatever works for you and makes you happy is what that means for clarification to anyone that may have never heard that saying.

I dont know, your posts just keep adding to the evidence, but I digress. You do seem like you view the forum here as you against the world and are really defensive over nothing to the point of humor. I'd say it was I that struck your nerve, but it appears that that is just the way you are. Im sorry you feel the need to fight! Dont worry, your phone usage is good enough for the Note 4

Whats the SOT? Im curious to hear what you personally define heavy use as, Id love to know where my own use falls in that category.

You can't really judge the battery on 16 minutes of usage... That's way too little .
16min and lost 4% battery and you don't think that you can judge a little at least?
