Seems normal to me. My guess is the live wallpaper is drawing from the system resources. Even then with a standby of 20 hours and 4 hours and some change of screen time that isn't bad. I rarely am on standby more than 12-14 hours and I get around 4.5 - 5 hours of screen time. I hate auto brightness so I keep mine about a third of the way up most of the time. Good battery imo

Thanks! I also just started using the active apps widget and closing everything. Not sure if that affects anything. By "system resources" do you mean the Android System? Because I'm noticing that that bar is on top lately when the Screen bar graph used to be the top one.

I'm also curious about seeing the posts of people with 6 hours of on screen time. Plus I read a review online where the reviewer claimed a day and a half of battery life with moderate use and 8 hours of on screen time

ho way for me to experience 20 h of battery life, Right now 11% of battery leaked in 50 minutes . I'm reading things and listening to a podcast.

That's interesting, have you been keeping track of your phone temperature? I heard that affects battery life. I just downloaded an app called CPU temp, wondering if my phone is getting too hot.

No, I'll try that. But I'm heavy inclined to root my handset to go with the greenify and tame background apps and rogue Samsung apps and things like that.
But that would jar my warranty I guess...

Well how old is your phone? Maybe you should take it in and try to exchange it?

4 days old in fact. But I doubt is a hardware issue. I got a Xperia Z3, coming from years of iPhone and I was disappointed about the colors and camera of the z3. But i was experiencing a terrible battery life either.
So i dropped the z3 and got the note 4, because the screen and hoping for a difference in battery life (and I saw that you could have an extra battery kit for it).

With a few hours with the note 4 i noticed a problem with the back button that practically missed every touch in it. I got it back to store on the same day and returned it for a new one (the one that I'm holding right now).

Since its so new, have you considered a factory reset?

Yeah I was referring to Android system. And I think bot the reviewer and other posters achieve those with features disabled like location and brightness all the way down (which is ridiculous because I can barely see it haha). I have no doubt that if I disabled everything and lowered my brightness from the already low level of around 33%, I'd get closer to 6 hours. Not worth it. My 4 or 5 hours of screen time is totally fine with me because I enjoy all the features of my awesome phone. Plus if you're ever in a bind just turn on Power or Ultra Power savings mode.

I have found some apps I didn’t realizing where refreshing or fetching information on their own ever so often, I turned that off to manual. Hopefully that helps. Not sure what else to do. It’s not my battery, because I have two different ones I swap out.

I dunno too much!

Feel like my battery isn't doing so great. Here are my stats. Nothing crazy just Web browsing, instagram and Twitter and some clash of clans. Am I missing something I feel like I'm barely getting any screen on time.

Battery problem solved. I had over 14,000 emails in my Gmail account and the same in my Comcast account. I did a big cleanup over the last few days. My battery has went from 6-8 hours to 17 hours. It was the freaking emails that was causing my battery to drain. I was just about to send my phone in to Samsung when I decided to deleted all the junk I have been keeping for the last 1 year so.

Almost 5 hours of on screen time and 38% left. Not too shabby.

After an hour off the Charger Verizon Note 4

Posted via the Android Central App

1. Take a screen shot of the graph that you get when you click on the line graph (the graph with "6h 13m 58s on battery" in the middle of it) and post that up.

2. Download Greenify and run it. Take a screen shot of the apps that it recommends you set to hibernate.

3. Take a screenshot of your notification panel pulled down, so we can see how you have your screen brightness settings set up.

Post those three images up and let's go from there.
