It's there, I just unlocked it this morning. Not sure why the idiots at Sprint kept it hidden.

This icon was added after I activated it. Is it supposed to light up at any point to indicate it's working or doing something? It's been greyed out the whole time but I know it's working

It should light up when actively being used, like downloading a large app from the Play Store. You should also see the download distribution speeds in your notification pull down, unless disabled.

Btw, if your LTE signal is poor, it will not use it and will only use WiFi. So test it someplace you get somewhat decent signal.

Where is this hidden on stock Sprint without a different launcher, or do we need another launcher?
    Thanks!

Question: so I've had this feature activated for a while now (Sprint). The icon shows in my notification bar but not once have I ever seen the speed info bars show up indicating that it's using both wifi and LTE to download a file. I have definitely downloaded files larger than 30mb on many occasions.... often as a matter of fact. Is it not actually functional even though it shows its activated?

I feel like the only thing it's done is allow my wifi to use its full potential. I've never seen my wifi hit 50mbps until I turned this on.
