I'm pretty sure you can't order from T-Mobile's site and need to order in store, one of which I went into earlier in this week and was told its on backorder and there is a 4-6 week wait, so I passed to look into other options including trying to maybe get a Nexus 6.
However, a couple days after I went into the T-Mobile store, I was searching on bestbuy.com (which I've been going to daily for a couple weeks since looking for a new phone) and noticed they had the T-Mobile prepaid Note 4 listed for the first time & apparently in-stock.
At first I was skeptical that this could be true considering what I was told at the T-Mobile store about a long backorder wait, as well as because the price listed on bestbuy.com was $699, which was $70 cheaper than the T-Mobile in-store cost to buy the phone outright.
So after I first noticed this on bestbuy.com Thursday afternoon Pacific Time at work, I decided to wait until after I got home from work to consider placing an order, and by that time someone else who saw this too decided to tell everyone about it on social media sites.
This "deal" ended up being listed on slickdeals.net and twitter for hours before I finally placed my order late Thursday night, at which time I was still skeptical that it was actually in-stock, but shortly after I placed my order bestbuy.com updated to show it as now being out of stock.
I ended up going to bed shortly afterwords and when I woke up I had emails from Best Buy saying they had already shipped my order! I choose expedited shipping and I ended up receiving a new T-Mobile Note 4 less than 12 hours after placing my order!, which is amazing!
Not only did I manage to get a Note 4 way quicker than I ever expected, I saved quite a bit of money with the nearly $70 off the T-Mobile in-store cost, plus as an added bonus of $17 in BestBuy rewards certificates which can be puts towards buying something else at a later time.
I really don't like spending $700 on a phone, but one thing I like far even less is spending $80-$100 a month for a 2 year service contract. I've been on the T-Mobile $30 a month prepaid plan for a year and a half, so I've easily saved well over 1k to pay for my new amazing phone!
If anyone out there is looking to pay full price for a Note 4 to use with T-Mobile prepaid or postpaid, and don't want to wait 4-6 weeks at a T-Mobile store & save some money, keep checking out bestbuy.com as perhaps they'll get more back in stock quicker than your local store.
