How to switch the "back" icon with the "recent apps" icon?

Anyone know how to switch the location of the back icon with the recent apps icon? Is it possible? I seem to remember that it can be done but forgot the process. Thanks!

It can be done, but you'll have to at least root. Many if not most custom ROMs give you the option of reassigning the function of the buttons. I recall there was at least one solution that only required root, though, at least for the Note 2. Since it just requires tweaking a text file, I imagine it would work for the Note 4, but I don't know. I'm not keen on rooting the Note 4, at least for now. Maybe after Android L . . . .
