I think that there is some confusion... Samsung claims 50% in 30 minutes, so some people expect a full charge in 60 minutes. Samsung clearly states 0-100 in 100 minutes.

I posted the note 4 charging profile a few days ago showing this too. It clearly tapers off after 75 %

I was actually sad enough to time the charging times on my Note 4.

From dead flat (0%) and powered off it charged to 50% in 31 minutes 45 seconds and went on to 100% in a total time of 1 hour 29 minutes dead.

This has been similar to my experience as well. I don't understand all these complaints about slow charging. My gs3 would take ALL NIGHT long to charge. My baby was on its last leg...so this fast charge is A OK with me

Does it charge faster while in Power Saving Mode? How about when it's off?

Are the differences minimal and not worth changing modes and/or turning off?

I've posted above what my exact charging times were when the phone was turned off.

Why not charge yours whilst it's on and compare the times yourself

Gud question, I've always wondered the same thing because the phone uses less cpu and background usage with power saving mode on.

Not even comparable though. The alpha has a MUCH smaller battery (1860mAh vs 3220 mAh)

I finally had the chance to time the recharge. I started at 5am, 0%. By 5:33, 50%. 6am, 87%. Fully charged at 6:29. So with the phone turned off, it recharged in 90 minutes. Not bad at all!

Next time it drains fully I'd like to time it with the phone turned on.

Well my Oneplus One only takes about 100 mins to charge fully, and has a pretty pretty good battery, just putting that out there, and the battery lasts for about 24-25 hours and maybe 8-9 on heavy use like playing graphic intensive games regularly.
