Charging question for Note 4 owners(non adaptive charging) .

I have still yet to try this, but has anyone tried charging their phone from 0-100% WITHOUT the fast charger and then do the same with the fast charger? Curious as to what the time difference would be because when I use fast charging it is very fast and regular charging seemed like it took forever to go up just 10% lol. Anyone?

Only thing that I noticed is when it's not plugged in via fast charger it takes forever, didn't do any side by side testing or anything though, hopefully someone knows!

I am not sure -- Since getting my spare I don't charge anymore .. I just swap and go .

Ok my Note is at 70%, I'm going to get it low and connect it via regular USB and time the difference against the "fast" charger.

With the quick charger I fully charged (0-100) in about 70 minutes. With some cheapo charger I have, I charged from 0-25 in about 45 minutes.

70 minutes seems very quick to charge from 0-100%.

When I timed mine I got a time of 1 hour 29 minutes for a full charge and from what I've read this seems to be the norm and about what Samsung quote.

Are you sure you got your times correct as 70 mins seems well out of the normal range,not that doing quicker is going to bother you lol

Yup 70 minutes. To be fair though, I did the charge with the phone off. I'm sure that makes a difference.

When I timed mine it was with the phone off.

Oh well it's a bonus for you that it does it so quick.

For me fast charge is indeed fast but other old chargers are just like they were with my Note 3. I mentioned elsewhere the app Galaxy Charging Current. Might want to get that to see what's happening...

Did mine from 1 or 2%, fast charge, 1hr 37 min. I used the stopwatch function on the clock on my S3.

The phone turned itself all the way off. Why did it take so long then?

Normal time from 0-100 is about 100 mins. I don't understand how people say it's charging from 0-100 in 70 mins, the fast charging tapers off at 75%

It is similar to the note 3 which is around 2 hours 20 minutes when using non adaptive charging

Ah, so it didn't take long after all. Cool. My S3 was a possessed by a demon, always doing goofy crap just to freak me out. And this one I ordered on line so it will be hard to send it back!

Just charged up my dead Note 4 using my charger and cable I use for my S3.

In 1hr, it was at 38%
1:34, it was at 56%
3:15, it was 100%.

So roughly twice as long to charge on a regular, 1amp charger. It would do much faster on a 2 amp. I have that for my Note tablet. Next time I forget to charge my phone, I'll do that one next. Oh, the things I do when I am procrastinating working!
