Electro magnetic resonance, there is a grid below the screen that transmits/receives and provides power to the stylus.

I also wondered how the s pen work especially since it's my favorite feature on the note line.

Not really very "future" tech... Nikola Tesla was transmitting power wirelessly over a century ago. One of the many things for which he never got the credit he deserved.Thanks for the info, very wild.
