So i just noticed that when I take pictures with my camera, it is taking them in the highest size possible. I noticed that I have the option to choose what size the files save as. What size is my best option? I want to be able to send multiple photos in text messages and stuff like that. I like taking photos with good quality but I do not need them to be the best quality.

It depends on which carrier you have, because each carrier may have slightly different filesize limits for sending photos over the Messaging app (MMS). Verizon's limit per message is 1.2 MB. So experiment with the filesize of photos taken at different resolutions, and see what the filesize is.

If you send photos over Hangouts (and not the stock Messaging app), there is not filesize limit, because you're essentially uploading your photo privately to your Google+ Photos, then linking it privately with the person you're hanging out with.
