The newly purchased Note 4 charger cable is malfunctioning. The Service Center gave me a spare cable for Note 2 and asked me to use it till they could replace the malfunctioning cable. But this cable too is not working. I tried the Samsung Duos cable and was able to charge the phone. But is this safe? There is definitely a problem with the Note series cables. Earlier I had a Note 2 and that cable too malfunctioned. I had to purchase a new cable because the warranty was over. But now the new Note 4 cable too is giving problems.

Thank you dpham00. Today I was informed by the Service Center that it was not the cable that was malfunctioning but the fast charging adapter itself. This is a new Samsung product I suppose. So, there could be bugs in it that need to be fixed. Perhaps over time they will improve it. For now, the Service Center has agreed to replace it. But I think I shall purchase a Note 2 or Note 3 adapter as well, just in case. Those too will be compatible with the handset, though they will not be fast chargers. The phone itself is superb, better than anything I have used so far. But Samsung needs to work on the charger adapter.
