Do you have HDR on or off?

Hi there,

I've been reading tips about using the camera and they advise to turn on HDR. So I did that and the pics look cartoony, I think it's not for me. What's so good about it really?

I keep it on --- I haven't noticed it take any longer when snapping photos and it will really only mess with the photo when necessary.

I only use it occasionally since it reduces sharpness...

HDR will reduce the quality of most images. You should ONLY use it in very high-contrast situations - and even then you might want to shoot a scene with it on AND off.
